ALL SAINTS SUNDAY
SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 6

On Sunday, November 6, we will observe All Saints Day. All Saints Day is the time we remember God’s faithful servants and witnesses who have gone to be with the Lord.

NOVEMBER 13TH FESTIVAL OF THE MORAVIAN CHURCH
SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 13

On Sunday, November 13, we will celebrate the November 13th Festival of the Moravian Church. On November 13, 1741, an announcement was made to all Moravian churches that Jesus Christ is the Chief Elder of the Moravian Church. This was a time when the Moravian Church recognized Jesus Christ as the head of the church in a special way. Part of our observance of this important date in our church’s history will include the celebration of Holy Com- munion.

CHURCH COUNCIL
SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 13

Following our worship service on Sunday, November 13, we will have our annual Church Council meeting. At
our Church Council we will elect new members to our Board of Elders and Board of Trustees and vote on our pro- posed 2012 church budget.

Following the Church Council, we will have a potluck luncheon in the Fellowship Hall. After lunch, election re- sults will be shared.

About Us

Olivet offers a traditional Moravian style service on Sunday Morning at 11:00 AM. Using hymns and liturgies from the Moravian Book of Worship the worshiper is led to a point when the children have a special time with the pastor and then a Gospel Sermon is preached by the Pastor or the Pastoral Assistant.

Communion is offered some eight times during the year, and all professing Christians are welcome to participate.
